Catatan Sang Petualang

Today is my son’s birthday. Kevin is getting 2 years old now, you can not imagine the speed of time when you just get there. Simply, just get into the situation.

He was born 2 years ago on this date, on Sunday. I still remembered that day. I was sitting in my father-in-law berugaq (a small sitting are with alang-alang roof made) , doing a chit chat with my wife talking and waiting for our transport driver that would take me to Sumbawa. My lovely wife had already take her maternity leave a week before.

Suddenly she shouted, and the first process of giving birth begin. Kevin was born around 7 o’clock PM.
We name it Kevin, from a Gaelical-AngloSaxon word, which means : handsome and blessed. While Torvaldi comes from my adoration to Linus Torvalds, the Linux creator. (Somehow, when I look at Ubuntu Linux Distribution today, which also cover the Edubuntu, a special project specific to Education using Linux, I saw several attractive educational programs. Maybe I’ll get my Ubuntu for Kevin, later.)

Happy Birthday, Kevin ! We’ve just bought you a new Laptop for you, and Ubuntu will be next

There is a long road journey of mankind to find the absolute, the Divine Energy & Power that move the universe. Simply we call it God.

That roads and paths sometimes make conflicted with themselves, or the others. Then there comes religions and prophets. Lao Tze, Kong Fu Tze, Budha, Krishna, Moses, David, Jesus, Mohammed.

From religions came sects. Another called Ordo. Others call it sub-religion or sub-faith.

Why do we have to fight and insult others, if we have one destiny to be completed ?

Why do we have to kill each others, if God, in return, always gives hope and life to this world ?

Somehow, I hear my old wise friend voice : “Try to know about you. Knowing yourself, then you will find Him in you.”
